Yes, it’s very long, but it’s not as funny-looking as “toom.” A funny-looking word is a word you can stare at and get lost in. I can’t do that with floccinaucinihilipilification. One glimpse and I want to look away. Also (according to 5 minutes worth of internet “research,” which I realize is hardly exhaustive), this very long word seems to be have been coined in order to be impressively long, not in order to be of use.
